Dur\u00e1n Hern\u00e1ndez estudi\u00f3 Ingenier\u00eda Metal\u00fargica en la Escuela Superior de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica e Industrias Extractivas del Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico Nacional (ESIQUIE-IPN) en la CdMEX (1984-1989). Realiz\u00f3 su maestr\u00eda en el Posgrado de Ciencia de Materiales en La Escuela Superior de F\u00edsica y Matem\u00e1ticas (ESFM) del IPN (1992-1995) en la CdMex, y cuyo trabajo de tesis estuvo enfocado en la S\u00edntesis, Caracterizaci\u00f3n y Estudio Electr\u00f3nico de Materiales Superconductores de Alta-Temperatura Cr\u00edtica. Los estudios de Doctorado los realiz\u00f3 en el posgrado de Ciencias Qu\u00edmicas (con orientaci\u00f3n en Fisicoqu\u00edmica) en la Facultad de Ciencias Qu\u00edmica (FQ) de la UNAM (1997-2002). En este periodo su proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n consisti\u00f3 en estudiar las propiedades electr\u00f3nicas de materiales intermet\u00e1licos (Borocarburos) con caracter\u00edsticas electr\u00f3nicas ex\u00f3ticas (Superconductores magn\u00e9ticos \u2013 Fermiones pesados). Durante el periodo de 2003 a 2006 realiz\u00f3 su posdoctorado en el Centro de la Materia Condensada (actualmente CNyN -UNAM ) en Ensenada B.C. realizando estudios en materiales diel\u00e9ctricos y ferroel\u00e9ctricos en el departamento de Materiales Avanzados. En 2007 (4 meses) estuvo como profesor invitado en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid realizando estudios de propiedades magn\u00e9ticas en materiales sintetizados a altas presiones y altas temperaturas. En octubre de 2007 a la fecha se integra al departamento de Materiales Avanzados del CNyN como investigador Asociado C.<\/span><\/h6>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;L\u00edneas de Investigaci\u00f3n&#8221;
