Obtuvo su grado de Maestr\u00eda en Ciencias en Biotecnolog\u00eda de Plantas en el CINVESTAV-IPN. Se gradu\u00f3 del programa del Doctorado en Ciencias Bioqu\u00edmicas de la UNAM en el Instituto de Biotecnolog\u00eda el a\u00f1o 2013, especializ\u00e1ndose en Biolog\u00eda estructural, particularmente cristalograf\u00eda de prote\u00ednas. Desde 2017 se desempe\u00f1a como investigador en el departamento de Bionanotecnolog\u00eda del CNyN como parte del programa Investigadores por M\u00e9xico. Participa como tutor de maestr\u00eda y doctorado en el programa de Nanociencias de CNyN-UNAM y CICESE.
