Estudi\u00f3 Maestr\u00eda y Doctorado en Ciencias en el Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica y de Estudios Superiores de Ensenada (CICESE) en Ensenada, Baja California, M\u00e9xico.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fue profesor en la Facultad de Ciencias F\u00edsico Matem\u00e1tica de la UANL, en la Facultad de Ciencias de la UABC; actualmente es profesor en la licenciatura en Nanociencias en el Centro de Nanociencias y Nanotecnolog\u00eda de la UNAM en Ensenada, en los posgrados de Ciencias F\u00edsicas y Ciencias e Ingenier\u00eda de Materiales de la UNAM, as\u00ed como del posgrado en Nanociencias del CICESE-UNAM.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ingres\u00f3 como t\u00e9cnico acad\u00e9mico al Laboratorio Ensenada del Instituto de F\u00edsica, ahora Centro de Nanociencias y Nanotecnolog\u00eda (CNyN) de la UNAM en Ensenada. Actualmente es investigador titular en el Departamento de Modelaci\u00f3n de Nanomateriales del CNyN en el \u00e1rea de investigaci\u00f3n relacionada con las propiedades estructurales y electr\u00f3nicas de materiales, tema que desarrolla mediante c\u00e1lculos ab initio en lo que denomina un Laboratorio Virtual de Materiales.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fue investigador visitante en el Departamento de F\u00edsica de la Universidad de California en San Diego, San Diego, CA, EUA; en el Departamento de F\u00edsica de la Universidad Estatal de Pensilvania, Pensilvania, EUA y en el Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) en Donostia-San Sebasti\u00e1n, Espa\u00f1a.\u00a0<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Iniciador y organizador durante los primeros a\u00f1os del Simposio en F\u00edsica de Materiales, actual Simposio Internacional en Nanociencia y Nanomateriales del CNyN. Iniciador del programa \u201cJ\u00f3venes a la Investigaci\u00f3n\u201d del CNyN.
